House of Dracula: 1945
Universal Pictures
Black and White
Director: Erle Kenton
Cast: Lon Chaney, John Carradine, Lionel Atwill
Plot: Not a company to let a good franchise die easily,
Universal Pictures yet again pairs a Mad Doctor (Onslow Stevens),
Dracula (Carradine), the Wolfman (Chaney) and the rest of the
gang for one final get together. Talbot (Chaney) is finally cured
by the doctor who's attempts to also cure Dracula backfire, turning
himself into a vampire as well. Much like both Frankenstein
Meets the Wolfman (1943) and House
of Frankenstein (1944), Frankenstein's monster is revived
and there's a lot of action at the end. Talbot finally walks
away cured, thus ending the trilogy.
